As of the 26th, the death toll has reached 10,489 people and 16,621 people still missing for a total of 27,110 people. With roughly 2,000 evacuation sites spread out amongst one city and 16 prefectures, there are a total of 243,200 evacuees including those who evacuated due to the accident at the Fukushima Power Plant. The radiation leak at the power plant is far from over and continues to be an agonizing situation for the Japanese people.
